Leaning to use something new can be challenging and time consuming. Heritage Collector makes it possible to learn as soon as you starting using the program. How? By presenting a ‘How” and ‘Help’ button at the bottom of most displays. Clicking one of these buttons will immediate display video or step-by-step documentation about the process you are working with. This saves times and takes the guess work out of getting the help you need.
Most of us of have struggled with a program that is not easy to learn or use. Is it worth going trough a steep learning curve no matter how great the software appears?
This concern may have increased as you have studied ALL the things this software can help you accomplish. We have provided a variety information to help unlock all the great things you can accomplish with the software.
Heritage Collector allows you to work on different projects when it’s best for you and when you’re ready. Start by importing and organizing your photos and files. Later you may want to use those same photos to create a calendar, storybook page or slide show.
This is made possible by selecting the kind of project you’d like to start or continue working on. For example, clicking on the Share Tab will allow you to select a new project or continue to work on an existing project.
The “core” of Heritage Collector is the special way all your photos, videos, documents, and PDFs can be organized and stored. Later you can easily search for and find the right photo or file and then drag and drop that photo into a project you are working on such as a slide show, storybook, calendar, Christmas card, or family history, etc.
Sometimes we think we aren’t very smart because a task is hard to learn or remember. Later we might discover the task was hard. We have indicated the level of difficulty for many tasks with one of the three icons. So if you are just starting you can avoid the Intermediate or Geek level tasks.
We have included many resources to help you understand and learn as you use the software. Fortunately you won’t have to waste time searching for a specific help topic or reading the whole manual before you begin. You can start using the program and access help with a button click or watch short ‘How To’ movies about what you need to know.

Clicking the “How” button (A) located at the bottom of many displays or clicking the “How” button at the top of the main screen will display a list of over twenty videos that come installed with the program. You can watch and learn new things while you are using Heritage Collector.
